 National Men's Team Clinic

The Greater Houston Chapter of US Lacrosse is bringing in the National Men's Team Clinic. It is November 15th at EHS. This is a golden opportunity to have your players learn from some of the top players in the country.

Coaches and current players from the Men's USA National Team will be in Houston for a full day clinic. This was a great way for our boys to not only work hands-on with, but play with 4 of the best players in the world. US Lacrosse annually conducts U.S. Women's and Men's National Team clinics for youth and high school lacrosse players.

Time: 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. (for grades 3-8); 12:30 p.m.-3 p.m.  (for grades 9-12)

Drafted: 1st Round - New Jersey (2005)
Highlights: MLL All-Star (2005)...2005: Kyle became the second rookie in league history to be named to an All-Star Game. Drafted in the first round (1st overall) by the New Jersey Pride in the 2005 MLL Collegiate Draft.

At Johns Hopkins: Led Johns Hopkins to its first national championship in 18 years as a senior in 2005...Received the Tewaaraton Trophy and the USILA's Enners Award as the nation's top player in 2005...He was a three-time All-American, earning first team honors twice...He received the McLaughlin Award as the nation's top midfielder in 2004 and 2005...Johns Hopkins went 55-6 in his four years, advanced to four final fours and did not lose a game at home...He scored JHU's first goal of the game 15 times in his career and JHU went 15-0 in those games.

2006 Season: Appeared in all 12 games … Recorded one point (1G) … Collected 17 ground balls and recorded eight penalties ... collected two ground balls in the post season and had one penalty. 2005 Season: Played in 9 games for the Barrage ... had career-high 3 shots on goal and scooped up 6 ground balls 2004 Season (New Jersey): Helped anchor a strong New Jersey defensive unit…Appeared in 11 games for New Jersey…Netted 50% of his shots, scoring 1 goal on 2 shots 2003 Season (New Jersey): Committed no penalties during season for first time in career…Appeared in 10 games with 4 starts 2002 Season (New Jersey): Collected 29 ground balls…Appeared in 13 games, starting a career-high 5 2001 Season (New Jersey): Made MLL debut June 7 against Baltimore…Appeared in 14 games for New Jersey… Committed a career-high 8 penalties for 420 total penalty seconds

Ben DeFelice - Middie - Towson '04

Current Team: Boston Cannons

2007: Appeared in 11 games for the Cannons…Scored six goals and seven assists for 13 points…Tied for first on the team with two game-winning goals…Ranked fourth on the team with 32 groundballs. 2006 (Baltimore): Played in nine games for the Bayhawks…Recorded 28 groundballs. 2005 (Baltimore): Played in four games during the regular season…Recorded nine groundballs…Won 30 face-offs (30-for-55). 2004 (Philadelphia):  Played in two games for the MLL Champion Barrage…Recorded one groundball. 

COLLEGE: Four-year letter-winner at Towson for Coach Tony Seaman…Two-time All-Colonial Athletic Association selection during his junior (2003) and senior (2004) seasons…Selected to the CAA All-Tournament Team in 2003 and 2004…Named as the CAA Athletic Association Player of the Year as a senior in 2004…Ranked second in the nation in groundballs and face-off win percentage as a senior…Recorded 21 groundballs as a senior against Villanova, ranking second on the NCAA single-game list…Named as the Towson Student Athlete of the Year as a senior…Member of the 2001 national semifinal team.

 

 

Mike Levin - Goalie - Brown '04

MLL
Current Team: Rochester Rattlers

As a Rattler
He enters his third season with the Rattlers. IN 2007, he finished the season third in the MLL with a 12.35 goals-against average and set a team record with nine wins in a season. In 2006, he finished his first season in Rochester with a 4-6 record. He was third in the league with a .599 save percentage and was fifth with a 12.97 goals-against average. On 7/01, he became only the second goalie in MLL history to score a goal.

Other Professional Experience:
In 2005, he appeared in three games with the defending MLL champion Philadelphia Barrage. Named the Week 5 Defensive Player of the Week for making 21 saves in an 11-10 win over New Jersey on 6/18. In 2004, he played for the Baltimore Bayhawks. Made his professional debut on 6/05 and stopped 16 shots in a 22-19 decision over New Jersey. He was the Bayhawks’ second-round selection (11th overall) in the 2004 MLL Collegiate Draft.
